La Porte Rouge (The Red Door) is a large, restored early-18th century farm house located near the small village of Auvers, 5 km from Carentan at the base of the Cotentin Peninsula (3 hours by car from Paris). Accommodations are for a maximum of 12 persons. Pets and children are welcome. Smoking is permitted. It is handicap accessible for 4 persons (2 bedrooms are on the first floor).
"La Porte Rouge" is a large restored early-18th
Century farmhouse situated at the end of a quiet country road,
near Carentan, surrounded by landscaped grounds and fields.

The region enjoys an abundance of good cream, cheeses, cider and calvados! La Porte Rouge is surrounded by landscaped grounds, gardens and fields and features two small ponds.
Amenities: "La Porte Rouge" is furnished for normal house - keeping with dishes, cookware, silverware and glasses and has the usual range of appliances plus a washer, dryer, barbecue grill, iron w/tale, radio, telephone, firewood w/2 fireplaces.Linens are furnished. We provide several adult and children bicycles.
A lady of the village is available to cook the traditional Norman way, at an additional cost.
1,750 € in low season (April, May, September and October) and 1,950 € in high season (June, July and August), utilities included. The farmhouse is closed during the winter.
