The Chalet Riondaz is a typical Swiss Chalet, built in 1937, completely renovated in 2000. While the unique chalet style was preserved, the most modern facilities to provide extra comfort and convenience were added.
The Chalet Riondaz faces south, with unobstructed views on the Alps. A barbecue grill, the pond with its water jet and breakfast outdoors are favorites in the summer. |

The chalet is privately owned. The top two floors are occupied by the absentee owners, who very rarely rent the first floor apartment if they are in residence. Renters thus have the property to themselves.
The apartment available for rent is on the first floor, with its own private entrance. It has two rooms, a kitchen featuring all modern amenities including dishwasher, washer and dryer, and a brand new bathroom with an oversized shower. The living room can be converted into a second bedroom with a queen-size convertible.

| As typical with Swiss chalets, the bedroom is small but very cozy, with a queen size bed.
The furniture is original Swiss wood work, the designer fabrics add color and chic. Satellite TV with CNN. VCR and CD-player. Direct dial phone, modem compatible. Farm style porcelain, Fondue set. Recommended occupancy: 2 adults or 2 adults with 1-2 children. Maximum occupancy: 5 (with folding bed). Daily housekeeper available on request. |

Spring, Summer and Fall Villars, on an altitude of 1300m (4330ft), is privileged by its southward facing sunny location.
In spite of the altitude, the three seasons are usually warm and comfortable, with crisp evenings in the Fall. The resort offers many activities. The area is well known for its easy walks and hikes with more than 100 kms of well marked trails. How about helping to make cheese at an Alpine cheese dairy?
Thanks to its close location to one of Switzerland's main highways (15 minutes), Villars is also an ideal home base to explore western, southern and central Switzerland
(Gstaad is a mere 30 minutes drive).

Winter The Chalet Riondaz is located near the cable car that takes you up to one of the starting points to this vast ski area that includes Les Diablerets and Gstaad. A ski shuttle bus provides access to other base stations. Villars makes for a true Winter paradise. Any conceivable winter sports activity is available. 120kms of ski slopes. Over 45 lifts. |
